Let users take an action in your app and pay with assets on another supported chain. [Relay](/what-is-relay) combines bridging and the destination call into one flow, so users don't need to bridge separately before checking out or interacting with a contract.

**Gas requirement** — With standard EOA wallets, the user needs native gas on the origin chain to broadcast the deposit. Solvers pay destination-chain gas, with costs included in the quote. For users without native gas, see [Gasless Swaps](/features/gasless-swaps) or [Smart Accounts](/references/api/api_guides/smart-accounts).

## How it Works

Your application includes destination calldata in its quote request. The user executes the returned deposit steps, and a solver uses its own capital to execute the destination call. The platform tracks completion; [Relay Protocol](/references/protocol/overview) describes the separate settlement flow for orders that use its Depository contracts.

Learn how to integrate cross-chain call execution with our [Call Execution Integration Guide](/references/api/api_guides/calling-integration-guide).
